PRIŠTINA — A solution to the customs seal issue could be found in the next round of the Belgrade-Priština talks, Priština-based Albanian language daily Koha Ditore writes.
Kosovo government top officials told the daily that the issue of Kosovo customs officers at the two administrative checkpoints could not be discussed with Serbian representatives.
Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Hajredin Kuci has stated that the dialogue and internal organization and the rule of law in Kosovo are two separate issues.
“Kosovo internal issues will not be discussed with official Belgrade. We do not talk about Kosovo’s constitutional and legal order, territory or status,” Kuci stressed.
Koha Ditore points out that Belgrade negotiating team head Borislav Stefanović said several days ago that Priština must not be allowed to establish its institutions in north Kosovo.
The continuation of the dialogue is expected on September 5 and the customs seal issue will be one of the main topics of this round of talks.
