Independent Trade Union of road workers of Serbia has sent a protest to Interior Minister Ivica Dacic because the police prevented the protest of employees in five companies of Nibens group.
“The police have been acting unlawfully in possession of the company and preventing free movement of workers,” the union memo.
He added that the presidents of the organization are exposed to “physical assaults of police officers,” which is why they turned to international institutions.
Logging road workers require that the police stop repressive measures against workers who protest and to determine responsibility for the conduct of police officers.
