BELGRADE. 9th August 2011.
Serbian Minister for Kosovo and Metohija Goran Bogdanovic said on Tuesday that the failure of the joint session of representatives of four of the Municipal Assembly from the North sends a “bad message” , in which was to be debated the agreement of representatives of the Government of Serbia and KFOR.
Bogdanovic told the Beta news agency that he hopes that the achieved agreements will be gradually implemented, regardless of the cancellation of the session of the Municipal Assembly’s “trampled necessary unity”, which has existed since the beginning of the crisis in the north – 25th July, when the authorities in Pristina have made a decision to take the crossings to the north of the province.
“What happened in Leposavic sends a bad message to citizens, primarily of northern Kosovo, and consequently to all other citizens of the Province. What we argued and fought for – what we had all these days – that unity that is necessary, I think today is trampled, “said Bogdanovic.
The Minister said that no one has sought to maintain the municipal assemblies and in this way makes any decision.
At the meeting, as previously announced, should firstly be discussed removal of the barricades, which is the first point of the agreement reached by representatives of the Government of Serbia – Goran Bogdaovic and Borislav Stefanovic with the commander of KFOR Erhard Biler.
